As it warms up this summer, I had noticed I didn’t want a full face of foundation everyday. But I’m not quite ready to go bare faced either. I realized I wanted something that would be safe for everyday wear (no toxic/harmful ingredients), won’t break out my combo/oil skin, and followed my resolution to go vegan and/or cruelty-free.
That’s why I was excited to receive a complimentary makeup kit from Jane Iredale + Influenster.
It includes
- PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation (my favorite), I have the colors “Bisque” + “Warm Silk”. It’s water-resistant up to 40 min & SPF 20.
- PurePressed eyeshadows in “Oyster” (can double as a highlight) and “Supernova” (the soft purple really compliments my hazel eyes).
- PurePressed powder blush in “Copper Wind”
- Just Kissed lip stain in “Forever Peach”, stayed on after coffee and lunch (wow!) and super hydrating.

So what do I think?
I love all the products. HONESTLY! The only negative I would say is the ‘Supernova’ shade wasn’t super pigmented, it kind of blended away. But it’s nice that it’s wearable. I also haven’t tried it with a eyeshadow primer or with a wet brush (these tips normally build up eyeshadow).
Ingredients
All Jane Iredale products are hypoallergenic & dermatologist tested
I’ve started checking my products with this site to see if they’re ‘safe’. I’m happy to report all ingredients are low/green on the scale. So very, very safe for everyday wear.
Check out the PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation – It might be the best foundation product in my drawer
